Silent Key: Bob Henry

Longtime APCO member and former frequency coordinator Bob Henry passed away on 06/28/03. Bob worked for the State Patrol Bureau of Communications from 1951 to 1988 and was the Wisconsin police frequency coordinator for 16 years.

Bob served in the Navy 1943-1946 serving an amphibious force in both the European and Pacific theaters.
He attended the University of Chicago for radio training. In his 36 years of service to the State of Wisconsin Bob helped lay the ground work for the State Patrol's statewide microwave communications system. He also authored a paper on the history of the State Patrol communications system - the first Public Safety system in the world to use microwave radio to link tower sites to the dispatch centers. Bob was someone you could call a good friend. (Neal Sieglaff- bureau of Communications)
