Is participation in wireless 911 mandated?
No. While participation in 911 and wireless 911 is encouraged, there is no requirement by either State or Federal regulations to provide these services.
Is the application For reimbursement available?
No. The PSC is still developing the application information. We expect it will be available around February 1st, 2005. The PSC will mail the information to the County Clerk of each County. The applications will actually be processed on-line and the forthcoming information will explain that process.
Will all our wireless 911 expenses be fully reimbursed?
No. Many expenses will be reimbursed at 50%.
